Electrical faults have a talent for being annoying and invisible at the same time: the breaker that trips every few days, the socket that died for no reason, the lights that flicker when the shower's on. Finding the cause is methodical work with proper test equipment, halving the problem until it's cornered.
Greg does exactly that. It's the part of the job he's known for: turning up with test gear, working through the circuit properly, and fixing the actual cause rather than taping over the symptom. You get told what it was in plain words too, because it's your house and you were probably curious.

Once or twice to see if it holds is fine. If it keeps tripping, stop: it's doing its job and cutting off something faulty. Unplug what you can, leave the circuit off, and ring.
